The 2013 conference will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 on the campus of Hope College in Holland, Michigan (about 30 miles southwest of Grand Rapids). This year we expect at least 400 presentations as part of this multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary conference. Presentations will be spread over 30 sections (disciplines) in the sciences, humanities, and social sciences. New for 2013 is a Mathematics Studies section and returning for a second year is the Religious Studies section. Additional sections (disciplines) planning programs range from Administration to Zoology.
The Michigan Academy’s annual conference draws presenters from several states, and a few foreign countries, as well as, scholars from across the state of Michigan. Our conference is affordable ($35 each for students or members of the general public; $100 for college faculty employed by one of our member institutions or $115 for faculty employed by non-member colleges). See a list of our member institutions at the bottom of each page of our website (themichiganacademy.org). Note: Conference buildings and parking are handicap accessible. For special accommodations, you must contact Kristi Dunn, Haworth Inn Event and Conference Manager by phone at (616)403-5344 or email to dunk@hope.edu by 3/8/13, if possible.
