24 to 26 of June 2013, Perm State National Research University, Perm, Russian Federation.
The conference aims at elucidating the European and international context of ‘the Soviet’ phenomenon.
The questions that we wish to focus on are: What is ‘the Soviet’? Is it possible to specify ‘the Soviet’ practices and phenomena? How legitimate is to speak about the “Soviet civilization”? How can we contextualize the history of the USSR as an integral part of European history?
The organizing committee reserves the right to select participants based on the submitted abstracts. The working languages are Russian and English.
Abstracts should not exceed 3000 words including references (footnoted Chicago style is preferred). Please include your first and last names, institutional affiliation, position and contact details.
The deadline for abstracts is the 20th of March 2013.
The texts should be written in MS Word (files with the extensions .doc, .docx) and submitted to email@example.com
A limited number of grants for covering travel and living expenses are available on the competitive basis.
Please do not hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any further questions.
