Teaching Contemporary Arab Women Writers: Remapping the Canon Explores issues of engaging with contemporary works by Arab women writers in the context of the literary canon, works by women which have found their ways into the global discourse on international feminism; explorations of incorporating works by Arab women into new and existing courses on women’s writing and women in culture particularly welcome.

Please note that MLA has a 'generalist' audience and thus I am particularly interested in engaging topics that can 'bring in' others who would not be at more specialist/Middle Eastern-North Africa conferences. Francophone/Arabophone/Anglophone texts all welcome.
