Deadline Extended. We invite scholars to submit paper proposals for the session entitled "Lafcadio Hearn: East and West." The session is being organized to be included in the Sixth World Congress of International American Studies Association (IASA), which will be held on 3-6 August 2013 in Szczecin, Poland. Hearn and his literary works have been analyzed mainly regarding his relation to Japan, and Hearn studies from a global viewpoint should require immediate attention. The Congress in which this panel is involved is entitled “Oceans Apart: In Search of New Wor(l)ds.”
Please send your abstract of 300 words and a brief C.V. to Kazuo Yamada, Japan at o-kaz@jupiter.sannet.ne.jp by February 25th.
