The Japan Studies Association, with a generous grant from the Freeman Foundation, will conduct its 11th Freeman JSA three-week Summer Institute on Japan from May 19th - June 7th 2013 in Honolulu, Hawai’i.
The Institute is for college/university faculty mainly in the humanities and social sciences who have little, if any, knowledge of Japan but who wish to learn about the country in order to infuse the knowledge into the undergraduate curriculum.
The grant provides up to $500 for airfare plus room accommodations, most meals and a small stipend. There is a registration fee of $650.
