The 11th annual international conference of the Institut des Amériques (Aix-en-Provence, France, 4-6 December 2013)will focus on Women in the Americas. Constructing North/South and transamerican paradigms, the conference ambitions to revisit topics related to women's history from interdisciplinary and intercultural perspectives. Beyond traditional oppositions and stereotypes, we invite contributions with recent research which question permanence and change in the role and status of women in the Americas. Proposals should be sent by April 1st to panel organizers (see blog link for more information http://women-americas.blogspot.fr/ ) The conference will include panels exploring the following fields: History-Religion-Indigenous cultures-Migrations-Work-Politics and international relations-Literature-Arts
