CIEE Summer 2013 International Faculty Development Seminars
CIEE is offering 16 International Faculty Development Seminars (IFDS) in 18 countries for summer 2013. IFDS are interdisciplinary academic programs designed for college and university faculty and administrators. The seminars consist of one-to-two intensive weeks of lectures by local faculty and experts from prestigious institutions, site visits that illuminate ideas explored in those lectures, and opportunities for lively discussions with international colleagues. The theme-based seminars are an opportunity for U.S. faculty to explore contemporary issues around the world and bring new knowledge and skills back to their classrooms and their campuses. 2013 seminars are offered in the following countries: Bonaire, Botswana, Brazil, China (Shanghai and Beijing), France, Germany and Poland, Northern Ireland, Italy, India, Jordan, Senegal, Spain, Spain and Morocco, and Turkey. Program details can be found on the IFDS website: www.ciee.org/ifds. Funding is available for eligible applicants. Funding applications are due February 1st. Program application deadline is March 15, 2013.
