Join us on Thursday, January 31st, 2013 at 4:00 PM at the Biscayne Bay Campus of Florida International University.Dr. Deborah Thomas will show her film Bad Friday: Rastafari After Coral Gardens. Bad Friday focuses on the community of Rastafarians in western Jamaica who annual commemorate the 1963 Coral Gardens "incident", a moment just after independence when the Jamaican government rounded up, jailed and tortured hundreds of Rastafarians.
