The School of Humanities of The University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, invites graduate students to submit an abstract on humanistic research to be considered for inclusion in the second annual GRADUATE SYMPOSIUM. The keynote speaker will be Giannina Braschi, radical author of the dramatic new work UNITED STATES OF BANANA, the best-selling Spanglish novel YO-YO BOING!, and the postmodern poetry classic EMPIRE OF DREAMS.
Graduate students in the Humanities (or undergraduates with previous research and conference presentation experience) are invited to submit abstracts of 300 words or less in English, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese to dagifh.rrp@upr.edu.
The deadline for abstracts is February 25, 2013.
The topic of the main argument should be included in the text of the email with mailing address, email address, and title of proposed paper on the humanities.
