The purpose of this conference is to build on
the success of the 2011 conference as a continued dialogue among the various disciplines engaged in the study of issues related to Africa and the peoples of African ancestry in Brazil and the Spanish-speaking world. Possible areas of inquiry include Linguistics, Literature, Music, Political Science, Public Health, Religion, Philosophy,Sociology, Economics, Population Studies, Education and Sports, and Environmental Studies.
