Conference will focus especially on political integration in the European Union, both from diachronic and synchronic perspective. Concerning the period, as the title of the conference is suggesting, participants may approach all stages of the European integration process, starting from the Schuman Declaration until today. The suggested topics of the presentations are:
-theories of European integration and influences on EU’ political integration;
-federalism: the way to political integration or finality of political integration?
-more political integration, the possible solution of the crisis?
-more economic integration, the way to political integration?
-principles and instruments of the European political integration;
-European officials and their acts for the European political integration;
-different EU treaties and political integration;
-European political integration and effects on national levels (national administrative systems, national political systems and their functions);
-EU as real global political actor: the proof of internal political integration?
-EU’ institutional framework as basis and instruments of political integration;
-prospective approaches on the European political integration;

Important deadlines:

30 January 2013 – sending the title and the abstract of proposed presentation;
05 February 2013 – notification on the accepted presentations and sending of the guide of authors;
31 March / 15 April 2013 – payment of the participation fee;
30 April 2013 – sending the final form of the papers;

For MA and PhD students who didn’t benefit from any European financement for their studies the conference fees is 20 Euros until 31 March and 30 Euros in the period 01-15 April 2013.

Organisers will cover two accomodation nights (24/25 and 25/26 April) and all meals of 25 and 26 April.

Papers will be published in a collective volume, at the Publishing House of the University of Oradea. Each author will receive two copies of the printed volume as copyright.
