The Journal of Erie Studies, a publication of the Erie County Historical Society in Erie, Pennsylvania, is seeking submissions for its 40th year in print. The Journal has traditionally published topics relevant to the history of the region, but is expanding to include related geographic areas. As 2013 is the bicentennial year of the Battle of Lake Erie, we are particularly interested in examinations of the battle from the British and Canadian perspective. Also of interest are papers related to the early settlement of Northwestern Pennsylvania, Native American issues, manufacturing and maritime history, and the immigrant experience. Deadline for submissions for the next issue is March 20, 2013. Electronic submissions only, please.
