CFP: Navid Kermani
German Studies Association (GSA), Denver, October 3-6, 2013
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: February 10, 2013
– Navid Kermani
We are seeking one or two more papers for a GSA panel on award-winning Iranian-German author, Islamic studies scholar and journalist Navid Kermani. Kermani, whose innovative literary and academic work deals – among many other things – with questions of migration and transnationalism and highlights the parallels between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, certainly deserves greater attention from scholars in German studies.
Papers focusing on any aspect of Kermani’s literary, academic, and/or journalistic work are welcome.
Please send abstracts of 200-250 words and a short bio-blurb to Karolin Machtans by February 10, 2013.
