Are you going to attend the SCSC conference 24-27 October 2013 (San Juan, Puerto Rico) and/or the RSA conference 27-29 March 2014 (New York City)?
If yes, are you thinking of presenting a paper on a Jesuit topic? Or, do you have an idea for a panel on a Jesuit theme?

If you do, would you mind sending me a title with a short (150 words) proposal, plus a short (100 words) narrative CV, so that we can coordinate the organization of Jesuit-themed panels for these conferences? They will be sponsored by the Journal of Jesuit Studies (JJS), which will be launched in January 2014. Indeed, in San Juan we will distribute free copies of the journal's sample and in New York we will have a launch party.

We're especially interested in topics related to slavery, anti-Jesuitism, gender, exegesis, counseling, Moriscos, Protestantism, and devotion. Selected papers may be published in the JJS.

If you are planning to deliver a paper during the SCSC conference, please send me your proposal before 1 March. If you are planning to deliver a paper during the RSS conference, please send me your proposal before 1 May.
