Applicants for the senior fellowships should be highly qualified members of the historical scientific community who have done distinguished work in their field. Skilled up-and-coming young scientists should apply for the junior fellowships.

Besides living costs, stipendiaries will receive funds for trips to archives and libraries. Back staff and other services are available. Allowance is made for rent, and, if necessary, for second residence tax.

The closing date for applications is April 30, 2013.
