The Thomas Arthur Arnold Fund for Excellence in Historical Research at the School of History, Tel Aviv University, Israel, will award two post-doctoral fellowships in historical studies.
The one-year fellowships of $30,000 each will be awarded for the 2013-2014 academic year. Fellows will work with a senior faculty member from the School of History or an historian from a department at Tel Aviv University (subject to the terms of the Fund). Fellows will engage in research connected to their area of research and writing. They will be expected to reside in the Tel Aviv-coastal plain area.
Candidates are limited to those who by 1 October 2013 are in possession of a PhD in a field of history, awarded within the last five years. Candidates are requested to submit documents testifying to their PhD degree, three letters of reference, a curriculum vitae, a writing sample, a description of the work to be undertaken as fellow and an endorsement from the faculty member they will work with.
Candidates must submit their applications by 10 March 2013 to the Academic Committee, Arnold Fund, School of History, Tel Aviv University, 69978 Tel Aviv, Israel. The letters of reference should be sent directly by the referees to the above address.
Tel Aviv University PhD holders are not eligible to apply.
