Oxford University Press is commissioning contributors for our remaining entries for The Oxford Encyclopedia of the History of American Science, Medicine, and Technology edited by Hugh R. Slotten. The Encyclopedia offers researchers, scholars and students access to information about the history of science, medicine and technology in the United States.
Contributors: We are currently looking for contributors to write one or more of the following topics:
• Pickering, Edward Charles (400 words)
• Richards, Ellen Swallow (400 words)
• Sexually Transmitted Diseases (1800 words)
• Smallpox (1500 words)
• Submarine (800 words)
• Zoos (1500 words)
The entries range from 400/words to 1800/words with honoraria commensurate to the length of the work. Oxford University Press will offer an increased honorarium for contributors who are able to submit their entries earlier than the designated completion date. The Encyclopedia is nearly finished and we are seeking contributors who will be able to complete the essays in an expeditious fashion.

Scope descriptions, style sheets and entry details will be provided.
