Scholars are invited to apply for 'Muriel McCarthy Research Fellowships' of between one month and three months at any point between 1 June 2013 and 30 September 2015. Successful applicants will receive a stipend of €2,000 per fellowship month.

Marsh’s Library was founded in 1701 and houses important collections of early-modern European, British, and Irish books and manuscripts.
Marsh’s Library invites research proposals which consider our rich holdings across a number of themes. These themes include, but are not restricted to:

The history of readership and ownership
Annotations, marginalia and ephemera
Concepts of science and scientific endeavour
The Enlightenment
Religious conflict, toleration and sectarianism
The growth of polemic <
Censure and censorship
