I’m trying to put together a panel on female sexualities and the law. My own paper addresses the role of women in the British pornography trade, 1900-1939. By showing that women produced and consumed pornography and that they were involved in related sexual subcultures like the fetish and BDSM communities, I’m hoping to show ways in which women resisted legal and social constraints on their sexuality.

Papers covering all time periods and geographic areas welcome. Anything dealing with the intersection between policing and sexuality is potentially a good match, although I was hoping to maintain a thematic focus on understudied sexual subcultures.
