In our ongoing effort to expand scholarly discussion of the Middle East and Africa, I am writing to solicit your involvement in the next ASMEA conference on November 21-23, 2013 in Washington, D.C.

ASMEA events cover the regions in the broadest possible way; our conferences have included presentations on political, economic, military, social, religious and cultural issues from the distant past to the present. Virtually any scholarly subject related to the Middle East and Africa is welcome. If you would like to present, moderate, or design a panel, or join ASMEA and receive the peer-reviewed Journal of the Middle East and Africa, please contact info@asmeascholars.org.
