The Southwest Council of Latin American Studies’ (SCOLAS) is now accepting panel and individual paper proposals for the 2013 Conference to be held March 21-24 at the Casa Santo Domingo Hotel in Antigua, Guatemala. This year’s conference theme is: “Histories and Cultures of the Americas.” We encourage proposals from all disciplines, including but not limited to: Anthropology, Archaeology, Art History, Cultural Studies, Environmental Studies, Ethnomusicology, Economics, Film Studies, Gender Studies, History, Linguistics, Literature, Indigenous Studies, Political Science, and Sociology. Proposals and papers can be in either English or Spanish. Individual papers proposals are also welcome. Please submit panel proposals that include three presenters and a chair or commentator to moderate the panel. For submissions please complete the corresponding electronic form (panel or individual proposal) at http://www.modlang.txstate.edu/scolas. The deadline for proposals is Friday, January 11 2013.
