ucLADINO is a student based organization at the University of California Los Angeles dedicated to the promoting the use and knowledge of the Judeo-Spanish language of the Sephardim. Through this call for papers we are currently seeking proposals from GRADUATE STUDENTS or ADVANCED UNDERGRADUATES with research in the field. This year's theme will be Judeo-Spanish: Survival in the Diaspora, which will take place March 5-6, 2013.

-Comparative studies on Judeo-Spanish vernaculars (Judezmo vs. Haketia)
-Anthropological studies of Sephardic communities
-Research on migration of Sephardim in/to Latin America
-Historical studies of the Sephardim in the Ottoman Empire or North Africa
-Ethnomusicological Judeo-Spanish research
-Literary representation of the Sephardic diaspora
-Language revival and national identity in contemporary Judeo- Spanish/Sephardic society
- Holocaust studies related to the Sephardim or Judeo-Spanish
-Contemporary Judeo-Spanish pedagogy
-The blending of non-Judeo-Spanish into Judeo-Spanish discourse/language/literature/etc.
-Synchronic/Diachronic research on Judeo-Spanish
