The Sports Area of the Southwest/Texas Popular Culture and American Culture Association annual conference is now accepting abstracts for individual presentations and pre-constituted panels. Submissions on any topics dealing with sports and popular culture/American culture are welcomed, but papers relating the topic of sports to this 2012’s conference theme, “Celebrating Popular/American Culture(s) in a Global Context,” are particularly welcomed.
ANY SPORTS-RELATED TOPICS ARE WELCOME
Abstracts should be no more than 200 words. The deadline for abstract submissions is November 16, 2012 at midnight. Pre-constituted panels should contain 3 to 4 different abstracts. All submissions must be made through the conference database at http://conference2013.swtxpca.org/.
The SW/TX PCA/ACA welcomes submissions from professors, independent scholars, and professionals. Graduate students are particularly encouraged to participate, with award opportunities for best grad student papers.
