In 2017, Morehouse College will commemorate and celebrate its sesquicentennial, the 150th Anniversary of the institution. At that time, the final products of many projects will be presented. These include a new narrative history of the College; a coffee table book of photographs, graphics, prose and poetry; a book of documents; a book of “Morehouse Stories” as told by alumni; and a film documenting the history of the school.
In addition to the new narrative history, we will also publish an anthology of papers on a variety of subjects, themes, and events relevant to the history of the College (i.e. Religion at Morehouse; Prosopagraphy of Morehouse Presidents, etc). On April 19, 2013, an all-day conference will be held at Morehouse College where scholars and writers will present their papers. From these papers, the anthology will be edited and compiled.
