I am looking for writers to contribute to a two-volume work dealing with the impact of the recession on poverty in the United States.

Specifically, I am looking for one or more individuals to write two articles:

1) An article around 4,500 words on the response of state governments to the increase in poverty during the Great Recession, and the struggles of states to respond to poverty during the recession because of their own budget crises. 2) An article around 3,500 words on the response of local governments (all government below the state level, county, city, township, etc.) to the increase in poverty during the Great Recession, and the struggles of local governments to response to poverty during the great recession because of budget shortfalls and crises.

Contributing writers will receive a by-line that includes name and professional affiliation, online access to the complete published work for two years, and modest monetary compensation (or a printed edition of the work in lieu of monetary compensation).
