We welcome original essays for an anthology on the Cold War and the Americas. The collection will focus on the roles played in the Cold War by the governments and societies of North America (United States and Canada) and Latin America (Central America, Caribbean, and South America). We consider the ideological, political, military, economic, social, and cultural aspects involved in the global Cold War, the impact of these forces on the American continent, and its countries relations with the rest of the world in the Cold War’s broad context.
The book will be published in Spanish by the presses of the University of Colima and Michoacan University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo, Mexico.
If you are interested in contributing to this collection, please submit a one-page c.v., 1-2 page abstract outlining the topic, the research question, the theoretical and methodological approach, and a preliminary bibliography, by December 9, 2012.
