I am seeking two panelists to present papers at the following panel at the 55th Annual Missouri Conference on History, March 21-22, 2013, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Panel Title: Missouri Home Fronts Panel chair: TBD Panel organizer: Rebecca Odom, Saint Louis University

As we commemorate the sesquicentennial of the Civil War, historical exhibits about the war fill state and local Missouri museums. These exhibits highlight unique local people, stories, images, and objects that are often absent from the historical scholarship. This panel aims to illuminate Missourians’ experiences on the home fronts of both historic and contemporary wars and the regional and local circumstances that affected them. This panel is open to anyone, and graduate students, curators, and archivists are especially encouraged to apply.

- Proposed title for your paper

- A brief abstract (100-200 words) of your proposed paper

- The name of your home institution and your position there (i.e. student, archivist, etc.)
