The Netherlands-Russia Centre and the Centre for Russian Studies, both connected to the University of Groningen, will organize a scientific conference focusing on various aspects of the long history of relations between both countries on May 7th – 9th 2013 in Groningen. Topics for discussion will be the various aspects of the Dutch-Russian relations: business and economic ties, political and diplomatic aspects, cartographic history and other cultural bonds between the countries.

Participation to the conference is open to all scholars interested in Dutch-Russian relations. Proposals for a lecture and corresponding article are welcomed. Contributions can be either made in English or Dutch, although at least passive comprehension of Dutch is required to participate in the conference.
