All with an interest in digital humanities are invited to join an online discussion at http://digitalgradasa2012.wordpress.com/ that will be a prelude to “Digital Dimensions of Graduate Education in American Studies,” a panel at the 2012 conference of the American Studies Association on November 16 at 2 pm.
Because graduate education is a vital part of American Studies in the present and a site for defining and anticipating the field’s future, we want to open up a many-sided conversation with contributions from new and established scholars, graduate students and graduate faculty, and everyone from traditional academics to artists and activists. Our panelists are Steve Brier, Clarissa Ceglio (who created the blog,) Doug Lambert, Sharon Leon, John Carlos Rowe, and Robert Snyder.
