People throughout Irish history have engaged in a complex range of networks whether within Ireland, in Britain, or around the globe. Papers will address many of the different types of networks that existed and explore the significance of these networks both for those involved in them and those outside of them.
Panels will address a range of themes including:
• power and privilege
• resistance, crime and protest
• literary and cultural movements
• transport
• family and gender
• migration and the diaspora
• support
• urban and rural networks
