Saint Joseph's University and The Peace Islands Institute will sponsor and host a conference on A JUST PEACE: Perspective/s from the World’s Religions on March 22, 2013 at Saint Joseph's University, Philadelphia. The conference theme is: Amidst the talk of peace and world peace, one hears all too rarely of Peace with Justice, of a Just Peace that can be the foundation of an enduring peace. The great religions have much to say about peace and justice, and we wish to encourage a series of presentations and discussions to explore and foster knowledge of what the World’s Religions can and do bring to the theme. Submit Proposals (approximately 300 words) by December 15, 2012 to Dr. Vincent McCarthy at mccarthy@sju.edu Travel and accommodation expenses will be met by the Organizing Committee; an honorarium of $350 will be paid for each paper.
