CALL FOR PAPERS:
Mediterranean Maritime History Network Barcelona 2014
Proposals are invited for the 4th Mediterranean Maritime History Network (MMHN) Conference to be held in Barcelona, Spain, on the 7,8, and 9 May 2014. The conference is to be hosted by the Museu Maritim de Barcelona with the support of the University of Barcelona.
Proposals for sessions/papers/short communications are invited informing on current research being undertaken in the field of Mediterranean maritime history from the thirteenth century CE onwards, centering on the use of the sea as a resource, for transport, power projection, scientific purposes, leisure activities, and as an inspiration in culture and ideology. Specials sessions will also be set aside for contributions on the maritime history of Barcelona from the earliest times.
Proposals are to be submitted by 18 January 2013.
