The Buffy the Vampire Slayer area invites proposals on any aspect of this amazing television show. There are a myriad of potential topics from analyzing the shows, fan culture, offshoots i.e. novels, graphic novels etc. Papers need not have any connection to vampires; indeed we encourage papers that deal with issues such as sexuality, gender, family structure, myth-making etc. We specifically welcome proposals that explore the birth of a new fan base since the shows ending as well as topics that celebrate the enduring wealth of scholarship that it has spawned.
Please visit the Popular Culture/American Cultures website at ncp.pcaaca.org and upload 100 to 250 word abstract on your proposed topic
Deadline November 30, 2012
The PCA/ACA National Conference will be held March 27-30, 2013 at the Wardman Park Marriott in Washington, D.C.
