In 2014 we will be commemorating 100 years of the outbreak of the First World War. “Studia Historyczne” are planning to publish a monographic issue devoted to the history of the outbreak and first months of the First World War in Central, Eastern and South-eastern Europe. Articles on pre-war politics, armaments, mass movements, the first military campaigns, ideological issues as well as mentality are welcome, as long as they present new research, innovative approach, revolutionary ideas. We will consider articles in Polish and English from established scholars, as well as graduate students. Merits and quality will be the only criteria. All proposed contributions will be unpublished and original when submitted for consideration. Please send your proposals by 1 January 2013. Full papers will be expected by 1 October 2013.
