The Institute of Polish Culture at the University of Warsaw (Poland) is organizing, on the 12th and 13th of October 2012, the seminar “Creative Communities. The Experiences of Cultural Animation and Community Arts”. The co-organizers are The Arts Institute (Vytautas Magnus University - Lithuania), Creative Communities Unit (Staffordshire University - UK). The event will take place at Lubelska 30/32, Warsaw.
The seminar “Creative Communities. The Experiences of Cultural Animation and Community Arts” will consist of discussions, project presentations and workshops, approaching issues relevant to the field of Culture Animation and Community Arts. The parallel discussions in the framework of the seminar will tackle upon subjects such as: “Traditions and Ideas of Culture Animation”, “Models for Educating Culture Animators”, “Community – Audience. Who Does a Culture Animator Work With?”, “Quality Methods in Culture Animation Projects” et alia.
The seminar “Creative Communities. The Experiences of Cultural Animation and Community Arts” is a part of the “Localise” project (http://localise-project.eu), which aims to transfer the innovative VET study trip module to other national, cultural and institutional contexts, breaching the gap between theory and practice, centres and peripheries, institutions and local communities. This project has been funded with support from the European Commission under the Lifelong Learning Programme.
