Call for Papers: Pain and Punishment in Medieval and Early Modern Europe at the First Annual Symposium on Medieval and Renaissance Studies at St Louis University, June 17-19, 2013

This panel seeks to explore the relationship between pain and punishment in medieval and early modern legal, religious, medical, and literary texts. We welcome papers that consider these questions from a variety of disciplinary perspectives.
