The Arab American National Museum (AANM) is pleased to announce a Call for Proposals for sessions at 2013 DIWAN: A Forum for the Arts, taking place at the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, April 5-7, 2013. Scholars, artists and activists are welcome and all artistic mediums will be considered. Proposals should relate to the development, current work, aesthetics and/or identity of Arab American art or artists.
SUBMIT A ONE-PAGE TITLED ABSTRACT ALONG WITH:

CD-ROM, DVD or slideshow (10 images max) if applicable – these materials will not be returned
Select one presentation format:
PANEL PRESENTER: 15-20 minutes that will be grouped on a 90-minute panel, the theme of which AANM will design. Both academic and artistic presentations accepted.
FULL-PANEL PROPOSALS: 90 minutes including ½ hour Q&A where you design the panel topic and title. Multiple speakers required.
NEW FOR 2013: SLIDESHOW SESSION: 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds for a total running time of just five minutes, with your narration. Share what you are most passionate about in Arab American art in this dynamic setting that will feature a number of rotating speakers on one stage.
YOUR PROPOSAL MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN 5 P.M. THURSDAY, NOV. 15, 2012.
