The Dynamics of Exchange: Translation and the Exportation of Culture (Roundtable)

This roundtable session will consider how translation is subject to various economic, political, and social forces. How do these factors affect how a literary text is translated and received? We will consider studies of translations into English or from English into other languages from any period. Abstracts of no more than 500 words.
