The Institute of Caribbean Studies, of the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras, invites the academic community and the general public to the lecture "Musulmanes africanos en el Caribe y America Latina [African Muslims in Latin America and the Caribbean", by Dr. Michael Gonez, History Dept., NYU. Bruno Ferrer, Department of History, College of Humanities, UPR-RP, will comment the lecture. The activity will be held on Thursday, September 20, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Amphitheatre Manuel Maldonado Denis (CRA 108) of Carmen Rivera de Alvarado (CRA) Building, Faculty of the Social Sciences, UPR-RP.
