“100 Years of Death and Judgment: On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Thomas Mann’s Death in Venice and Franz Kafka’s ‘The Judgment’ ” is an upcoming conference at CSULB celebrating the works of two German language authors, Thomas Mann and Franz Kafka. The event is intended to raise popular and critical awareness of these two authors and German language literature, broadly. I am excited to announce that our speakers are comprised of students and guest speakers from different fields and across the country. This is a wonderful opportunity for all friends of literature and language to enrich their knowledge and appreciation of German literature. The conference will take place on September 21-22 at California State University, Long Beach.
