You are cordially invited to join the Southwestern Historical Association, in conjunction with the Southwestern Social Sciences Association, for our annual meeting in New Orleans, March 27-30th.
Faculty, independent scholars, public historians, and students may submit proposals for panels, papers or roundtable sessions in any area of history. Students may also propose papers or entire panels for student-only panel sessions sponsored by Phi Alpha Theta, the national History Honor Society; however, they must be members of the organization to participate on such a panel. Otherwise, students may also submit papers for regular sessions. They must choose either a Phi Alpha Theta session or a regular session.
Please submit electronically at: http://convention2.allacademic.com/one/sssa/sssa13/ . Submissions will include (for each panelist) a CV of no more than 2 pages, a 250-word abstract, contact information especially e-mail, and the full name and academic rank (faculty, independent scholar, Ph.D. student, or M.A. Student) of the person submitting the proposal. Volunteers for panel chairs and discussants are asked to submit online as well.
The deadline for receiving all proposals is November 1, 2012.
