A session entitled "Libri nefandissimi: Heretical Texts and Texts About Heresy in the 14th and 15th Centuries" is being organized for next year's International Medieval Congress in Leeds, taking place 1-4 July, 2013 (https://www.leeds.ac.uk/ims/imc/imc2013_call.html). 20-minute papers are welcomed on any subject dealing with the general theme of heresy and inquisition in relation to texts and their circulation in the 14th and 15th centuries. Topics may include (but are not limited to):
-The manuscript traditions of specific heretical or suspect texts in the 14th and 15th centuries.
-Reactions to and receptions of heretical or suspect texts.
-Texts written against heresy and the discussion of heresy by churchmen and other late medieval intellectuals.
-How heretical texts (as opposed to people) were treated by inquisitorial authorities.
Session proposals are due by 30 September, so if you are interested in participating please send a rough working title of your paper to Justine Trombley (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as possible, preferably by 24 September. No abstract is required. Please indicate if you will require any audio-visual equipment for your paper. I am also looking for session moderators, so if you would be interested in chairing a session please let me know.
