A fellow colleague and myself are looking for a third panelist for a panel we are developing for the Southern Labor History Conference on March 7-9, 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Are working panel title is called, "Sexual Agency: Beauty and Labor for African American Women in the Twentieth Century South." My paper deals with prostitution in New Orleans, specifically the Octaroon Parlor and my colleague is looking at early African American models. If you feel you paper would connect, please send us an abstract and CV at your earliest convenience.
