We seek papers for the annual conference of the Popular/American Culture Assoc. meeting in Washington, D.C. on March 27-30, 2013 that examine particular political campaigns or individuals/operations within that context, the use of electronic and print media either to report on or to promote political events and issues. Political language, the use of new media technology such as cell phones/mobiles and the web and the participation of women and minorities in the political arena are some areas of particular interest. Studies that focus on the US presidential primaries and the 2012 election season are welcome.
ACA/PCA is committed to an interdisciplinary approach.
