The 49th Parallel Conference presents innovative research across the interdisciplinary field of North American Studies, from postgraduate and early career researchers across a variety of inter-related disciplines. Papers include topics on history, literature, film, politics, geography and foreign policy. The conference is a one day event hosted by the jounral 49th Parallel, incorporating a keynote address from Professor Scott Lucas, a workshop discussing the importance of academic publishing, and a roundtable delivered by the editors of the Journal of American Studies. A number of academic publishers will be in attendance on the day. We particularly welcome first-time delegates to what will be an informal and welcoming event.
