A Study Day entitled “Toponyms and linguistics: in history and theory” will be held at the University of Naples “L’Orientale” (Italy) on November 30 2012.
There will be a presentation of posters and you are invited to submit abstracts related to:
- the history of reflection on place names in linguistics;
- a critical summary of research on specific toponyms in both modern and ancient times;
- a presentation of electronic dictionaries dedicated to toponyms.
However, original proposals that are not closely related to these themes will also be evaluated.
We plan to publish the Proceedings.
Your presence at the meeting is not requested.
An abstract of 100-150 words must be submitted by 31 October, and the title of the proposal must be submitted to the organizer of the Study Day at albertomanco#unior.it by 15 September.
