Call for Paper: Politics, Governance and Administration in Modern Nigeria: Essays in Honour of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu
Concept Statement
In the pantheon of Nigerian leaders and heroes, the place of Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) is assured. He has not only contributed significantly to the fostering and nurturing of democratic tenets, he has also been a consistent voice in Nigeria’s search for good governance, social justice, economic development and socio-political transformation as advocated by the late Sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo. He has also displayed uncommon courage as one of the leaders of the opposition parties and he has rekindled the hope of the masses since leaving office in 2007. His achievements in the eight-year administration of Lagos State and post-governorship activities are ready testimonies of his contributions to contemporary Nigerian politics. Today, Bola Tinubu is a historical phenomenon in contemporary Nigerian politics.
