Call for Papers on Turkish Literature: The Deadine has been extended to Monday, 20 August 2012
The Journal of Turkish Literature (JTL), which is published annually by the Center for Turkish Literature at Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, is the first and only literary scholarly journal in English devoted in its entirety to Turkish literature from all periods.
For its upcoming issue, JTL is seeking articles on Turkish literature from any period, from its beginnings to the present day. Articles can be on any subject related to Turkish literature, and must be between 3000-6000 words (longer articles may be submitted with prior permission).
In order to get an idea of the sort of articles correspoding to the mission of the journal, please review the tables of contents of the first through eight issues:

Interested authors are invited to submit a 250- to 300-word abstract of their planned article, along with a 150-word autobiographical note providing background about himself or herself as the article’s author.
The abstract and autobiographical note should be submitted no later than Monday, 20 August 2012. Authors of the planned articles will be notified of acceptance by Monday, 27 August 2012.
Final versions of articles accepted for inclusion must be submitted no later than Friday, 26 October 2012.
