The Be The Evidence Project at Fordham University, School of Social Service is hosting the Aging in the Criminal Justice System Town Hall Speaker and Discussion Series. Upcoming events include “At America’s Expense: The Mass Incarceration of the Elderly Presentation and Open Discussion with William Bunting, & Geoff Schotter, American Civil Liberties Union and Discussant, Tina Chui, Vera Institute of Justice”, a panel and open discussion with older adult ex-prisoners and their experiences with re-entry on Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 2:30pm to 5pm. Also check out “Aging in the Criminal Justice System: Forging an interdisciplinary Human Rights Practice and Policy Response webinar with Dr. Tina Maschi” on Monday September 24, 2012 from 12:30pm to 2:15 pm and “Old Behind Bars: Presentation and Open Discussion with Jamie Fellner, Senior Advisor, Human Rights Watch” on Wednesday, October 10 from 11am to 1pm. And don’t miss the 2nd Annual Arts for Change Forum to learn more about arts for human rights and justice on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 10am to 6pm. All events are free and open to the public!
