[Extended] New Critical Theoretical Institute Open Call for Papers
Heathwood Institute is a radical academic collective, whose principle aim is to offer foundational critique as well as concrete, critical alternatives to the type of social policy symptomatic of ‘damaged society’. Formed in a similar spirit to the Frankfurt School of old, Heathwood is an independent organization geared principally toward fundamental analyses of the 'critical inequalities' of our various contemporary social, economic and political realities.
Our aim is to provide a venue for critical theoretical work that contains a radical, alternative edge. In a retrieval of critical theory – and of the academics as a whole - the goal of Heathwood is to, on the one hand, foster penetrating and normative discussion on the type of social issues characteristic of our rotten social reality. On the other hand, it is our aim to advance the critical theoretical tradition by offering normative critique of social-philosophical issues from a radical, foundational perspective that draw from an alternative to epistemology, anthropology and cosmology.
We have just extended our open call for papers until June 31st. If you feel that both yourself as an author/researcher and your work would fit well with the general aims and operations of Heathwood, we invite you to submit a proposal. We're not only looking for more exciting radical thinkers from all fields and areas, but also long term colleagues to join what is becoming increasingly known as the Heathwood school of thought.
